The craft show experience.

I went to the NorGA Etsy Holiday Bazaar with my friend Sharon (Seedlings Jewelry) today.

We had a great time! The turnout wasn’t as big as we would have liked, and I have eleventy billion pyramid bags to post in my etsy shop in the upcoming week, but we had so much fun. It was amazing to meet so many other crafters who are making a business out of their passions!

I met some amazing ladies, and spent much of the day laughing with my new friend Rebecca of Smelly Rhino and Outward Bound.

Rebecca is an amazing painter with a wicked sense of humor. Here’s my second favorite of her pieces, this is called Hang on Sweet Beagle. (My favorite is a one of a kind painting and I don’t want to tell you about it until I buy it!):

I also met Janine of Girl Sew Pretty, her owl bags made of recycled sweaters are so darling!

I only took a couple of photos at the event today, my blogging skills are rusty. (Whoops!)

Here’s our table. Wonder why the table cloth is purple? Well, it’s because I bought all that fabric 6 years ago to make a wedding dress and veil. As it turns out, didn’t marry the fool and the fabric makes a killer table covering for craft shows. (Hee! Talk about recycling! So far that fabric has been intended for a wedding dress and used as curtains. In fact, I had two different ladies ask me today where I got the shiny stuff that was meant to be a veil. Answer: JoAnn.)

All in all, it was a wonderful experience and I had a great time with Sharon. Hopefully we can get together more often, we always have a lot of laughs. Also, Sharon gave me a present. It’s a Mo-Stache, hammered copper mustache necklace. It’s hilarious and beautifully made. I have a feeling that I will be wearing it a lot. Trav thinks that it’s weird. But whatever.

Go, buy a Mo Stache, you know you wanna. (Though you’ll probably have to send Sharon a convo on her shop, since she’s out of them at the moment.)

Wanna do some shopping?

Guess what?

No, not chicken butt!

I’m participating in the Team NorGA Etsy Home Craft Show tomorrow (December 12th.)

You should come! You can see me and buy some great handmade gifts for your family! I’ll be there with my yarn and some cute project bags.

You can also buy some great handmade jewelry from my friend Sharon of Seedlings Jewelry.

Hey look. An actual blog post.

Wow. It’s been that long?

Since April?

Huh. Don’t know how that happened.

What have I been up to since then? I got a new contract position at a major telecom company that’s just a mile and a half from my house. I got a new car. More of my friends moved away. (That’s 6 in the last two years, and one more is making a break for it in February.) I’ve learned a ton about working in an IT department. Which is strange after 15 years as a “ceative,” I’m now a programmer (albeit a slow one who still wants to make things pretty.)

I’ve been dyeing yarn again. This time a Merino Cashmere Nylon base. It’s super yummy, and I have gotten confirmation that I’m set up as a wholesale account with a wonderful supplier so I’m hoping to have a big giant wholesale order between Christmas and New Years.

Enough about that though, don’t you want to see some eye candy? Some of what’s available in the shop is over there on the right, but here are my favorites:

In other exciting news, I’m attending a craft show this weekend with my friend Sharon of Seedlings Jewelry. We’re sharing a space. I’m selling yarn and some project bags that I’ve spent the week making. (I’m supposed to be sewing more of them right now, in fact. I’m procrastinating.)

Also on the schedule for this weekend? The annual knitters holiday party. With gift exchange. Should be fun!

At the bus stop. 6:20 a.m.

So I will definitely start posting again. Hi everyone.

This is a teaser post.

I’d have been a bad wife…
